[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]talian jeweller Bulgari has joined forces with the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) in philanthropic efforts for the next three years, commemorating the occasion with a black tie dinner hosted by Sir Elton John and David Furnish in their home art gallery on Jun 23. An exclusive list of 100 VIPs were treated to a private performance by Italian classical artist Andrea Bocelli and John himself, followed by an auction of an 18-karat white gold and diamond Bulgari necklace, the Diva’s Dream, which sold for £225 (SG$410). All funds raised during the dinner went to the EJAF.

“It’s a chance for us to welcome guests into our home to share an intimate evening where we really get to talk to everyone,” said John: “To be able to thank people for their extraordinary generosity is a special treat.”
