Drum rolls and applause resounded the Grand Ballroom at Sheraton Towers Hotel Singapore as we recognise the Top 100 winning wines selected from close to 200 different labels from 16 countries, conducted over 2 days of blind tasting by our prestigious 11 wine panelists. The event is organised by The Peak Selections: Gourmet &  Travel, a quarterly spin-off of the luxury title, The Peak and supported by partners such as AIX, Gryphon Tea, Procacci Singapore, The Straits Wines Company and Vintec.

In addition to the top 100, the judges singled out three as Panellists’ Picks, in which the wines scored a grade as high as 18 points based on a 20-point scoring system. Five wines also stood out in their respective categories and were named:

White Wine of The Year: Newton Johnson, Family Vineyards Chardonnay, 2013 (Stellez Vine)

Red Wine of The Year: Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi, Luce Della Vite, LUCE, IGT 2012 (Water and Wine)

Sweet Wine of The Year: Askerne, Hawke’s Bay Nobel Semillion, 2007 (Hockhua Wines)

Non-vintage Champagne of The Year: Louis Roederer, Brut Premier NV (Grand Vin)
