The Moon and The Stars Gala 2018 by Singapore Dance Theatre

Big names graced the landmark 30th anniversary event.

Singapore Dance Theatre (SDT) celebrated its 30th anniversary this year. On Friday, 6 April 2018, SDT held its annual fundraising gala evening, The Moon and The Stars Gala 2018 at the exquisite Capitol Theatre.

Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Culture, Community, and Youth was the Guest-of-Honour for the evening, and the VIPs included Patron Dr Tony Tan & Mrs Mary Tan, Mrs Rosa Daniel, Mr Koh Choon Hui, Mr Gabriel Lim, and H.E. Lynn McDonald.

The Moon and The Stars Gala is the company’s most glamorous event of the year, as it seeks to share a little bit of the heart and lives at SDT, and to encourage and appreciate the continuous support of all its donors and friends. Major donors for the evening include Mr Oei Hong Leong, Mr Teo Chen Hian, Mr Christopher Fussner, Mr Jim Rogers & Ms Paige Parker, Dr Stephen Riady, as well as SDT’s Board of Directors.

Two hundred over guests and loyal supporters were present at the glittering evening, where they were treated to a performance by Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, as well as three captivating works by Singapore Dance Theatre including Schubert Symphony by Choo-San Goh, The Nutcracker pas de deux, and Rubies by George Balanchine.
