The official Canada Day 150 party, presented by The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, was held on 1st July. The event celebrated the 150th anniversary of the country’s confederation. In true Canadian spirit, guests streamed in dressed gamely in red and white – the national flag colours.
Graced by High Commissioner of Canada to Singapore, H.E. Lynn McDonald, the Canada Day 150 party made for a fantastic night, with a great turnout from the Canadian and Friends of Canada communities. The night included a buffet dinner, drinks and a lucky draw, accompanied with live music by Robyn and Friends. Kids were also treated to a free flow of popcorn and cotton candy, as well as a temporary tattoo station and colouring activities. Not forgetting Hockey, one of the country’s national sports, was played at the party and a popular choice of activity for all adults.
