Singapore Lyric Opera throws glamourous Egyptian-themed Opera Ball in conjunction with Verdi’s Aida production

The SLO threw its annual Opera Ball on 14 Mar 2018, months ahead of the anticipated play's run in June.

Singapore Lyric Opera (SLO) is a not-for-profit organisation that supports Western opera in Singapore, taking up an active role in advocating, developing and nurturing the opera scene and talent.

 The well-attended annual Opera Ball was held on 14 Mar 2018, Wednesday, at The Fullerton Hotel. Two patron’s awards were presented by Guest of Honour, Dr Lim Wee Kiak – MP and Chairman of Government Parliamentary Committee, Ministry of Culture, Community & Youth – to Madam Kay Kuok and Multimetals Resources Pte Ltd, in recognition of the extensive support towards SLO’s fund raising efforts.
Highlight performances of the night include solo performance by Thomas Ruud and Cherie Tse, who are part of the performing cast of Verdi’s Aida.
Following the Opera Ball, opera lovers can expect to be immensely entertained by the highly-anticipated and emotionally-charged production – Verdi’s Aida. It will run from 1st to 6th June 2018 at Esplanade Theatres. For more information, click here.
