The Peak’s 8th annual golf tournament was held at Singapore Island Country Club on May 31, 2017. More than 170 golfers from Singapore’s diplomatic and business community attended the event and put their skills to the test at New Course, arguably the most challenging course at the club.

Players gathered for a group photo on the putting green before the tee-off. The tournament commenced soon after, based on a shotgun tee-off format across the 18-hole course. Even though the game had to conclude slightly earlier due to wet weather conditions, participants – buoyed by the company of old friends and new faces – enjoyed themselves on the green.

During the game, players managed to stay cool with Japanese lager from Suntory The Premium Malt’s, Pureté mineral water and Mag-A-Cone ice cream from Magnolia. In the evening, they enjoyed an eight-course dinner along fine single malt Bruichladdich whisky provided by Rémy Cointreau, the event’s whisky partner.

Apart from hole-in-one prizes which included a Mercedes-Benz E Class and Buben & Zorweg Python V8 Winder worth S$41,000. Participants also picked up novelty prizes such as Cortina Watch’s Ebel New Wave For Gents (worth $3,250) and golfing equipment from Royal Sporting House. With 50 lucky-draw prizes given out over the course of the evening, there was plenty to go around for everyone.

The tournament’s top three golfers took home winner trophies from Lalique Crystal, SPH Golf Card memberships, and slew of prizes from Novita, Wings Over Asia, and TEKA.

The event would not have been possible without the support of the following sponsors: Credit Bureau Singapore (patron of the event), Mitsubishi Electric (lifestyle partner), R.E Lee International (estate planning partner); and Maybank (preferred card partner). Special thanks also goes out to prize sponsors such as Ambient Lounge, Carrera Eyewear, Golf House, Hansgrohe, Lancaster, New Moon, Park Hotel Group, Sheraton, Shiseido, and Urban Fairways.
