When you bring two giants from entirely different arenas together, a new sort of triumph results. The Macallan and URWERK have collaborated to give us a flask worthy of sitting on any man’s belt.
The result is a drastic variation of the small and traditional whisky flask into something quite extraordinary. The complexity begins with its composition, comprising more than 150 parts.
Says co-founder and chief design Martin Frei, “I knew the flask had to be exciting and daring, whilst also providing pleasure and I envisioned an object with complex simplicity, just like a good whisky.”
The work of art is one of machined aluminum, titanium and stainless steel, with two separate titanium tanks to hold up to two whiskies. Winglets are also on standby should you need the flask to stand. You’ll also be able to denote the cask type and whisky’s age thanks to the cask adjustable indicators.
“When we were offered the opportunity to collaborate on this adventure we immediately said yes to the challenge,” adds Frei.
Only 500 limited edition flasks will be available worldwide at £2,000 (S$3450).
