In her latest collaboration with the Italian design brand, Mahdavi shuns the usual clinical white bathroom suites for pastels and curves, in keeping with her signature style.
In almost comic book fashion, the bathtub is called “plouf,” the sink is called “splash” and the mirror is called “wow.” These bathroom fixtures, all with soft, curved shapes, come in pistachio, strawberry and blueberry colors.
This collection is accompanied by a new range of ceramic tiles with a pinstripe motif.
Designer and architect India Mahdavi was named Designer of the Year at the 2004 Maison & Objet interior design trade show, a year after launching her debut furniture collection. She has worked with art dealer Patrick Seguin and fashion designer Alber Elbaz. Notable projects include the Monte Carlo Beach Hotel in Monaco and The Gallery at Sketch in London.
Mahdavi’s new creations will be on show April 17-22, 2018, at the Bisazza store in Milan.
