Of note this year is the inaugural Southeast Asia Forum, descended from the successful Southeast Asia Platform (from the past two years). The series of talks, featuring high-profile personalities in the arts scene, and its related exhibition, has been themed Seismograph: Sensing the City – Art in the Urban Age. The forum discusses the issues that plague cities across the face of the changing globe, and identifies art as a valuable outlet of the “urban DNA”.

The popular Video Stage is testament to the changing perception of video as a expressive medium, and it will make its return as well, featuring both contemporary and classic works dating as early as 1987.
