Kavalan whisky collection at Ho Lee Fook (2)

Internationally recognised for its signature progressive cooking style, Hong Kong restaurant Ho Lee Fook now has a carefully curated list of Taiwanese whiskies and Japanese sakes to pair with its menu.

Bringing the European style of dining to the fore, sparkling sakes like the Ozeki “Hana Awaka” Junmai make for a good aperitif, whilst a stronger sake like the Bunraku “Houjun” Junmai is to be sipped throughout dinner.

Fancy a nightcap? The selection of Kavalan whiskies, made by the first distillery in head chef Jowett Yu’s native Taiwan, is aged in a variety of wine and sherry oak casks that imparts fruity and smoky notes to the whiskies. Or, sip on the Solist Vinho Barrique Single Malt that was recently awarded the “World’s Best Single Malt” in Whisky magazine’s annual World Whiskies Awards.
