After months of deliberation, the ASEAN Teochew Entrepreneur Award (ATEA) 2018 finally revealed its list of award winners at a gala dinner and awards presentation ceremony on Nov 4 at Resorts World Convention Centre.
Organised by the Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan, the ATEA 2018 is an event that recognises Teochew businesses for their accomplishments, professional excellence and invaluable contributions to the community.
This year, a total of three Honorary award winners from Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore were revealed. A further 7 Prestige and 5 Promising award winners were announced at the gala. Award winners span industries such as precision engineering, real estate, food and beverage, manufacturing and technology, with each demonstrating outstanding entrepreneurial qualities and exemplary contributions to their industry and society at large.
The event was graced by guest-of-honour, Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Education, and also attended by Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry, as well as prominent business leaders.
Guests were treated to performances throughout the evening while celebrating the Teochew heritage and entrepreneurial spirit.
