Singapore Lyric Opera throws glamourous Egyptian-themed Opera Ball

The annual ball hit all the high notes.

The well-attended annual Opera Ball was held on March 14 at The Fullerton Hotel. Two patron’s awards were presented by Guest of Honour, Dr Lim Wee Kiak – MP and Chairman of Government Parliamentary Committee, Ministry of Culture, Community & Youth – to Madam Kay Kuok and Multimetals Resources Pte Ltd, in recognition of their extensive support towards the Singapore Lyric Opera’s fundraising efforts.
Highlights of the evening included solo performances by Thomas Ruud and Cherie Tse, who are part of the performing cast of Verdi’s Aida, which ran from 1 to 6 June at the Esplanade Theatre.
The Singapore Lyric Opera is a not-for-profit organisation that supports Western opera in Singapore, taking up an active role in advocating, developing and nurturing the opera scene and talent.
