[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he rare, exceptional timepieces that belong to rock and blues star Eric Clapton are going to be up for grabs come end November. Indeed, the ‘Tears in Heaven’ singer is famous for collecting his fair share of ultra-rare Patek Philippe and Rolex watches. Last year saw the US$1.4 million sale of his Rolex Cosmograph Oyster Daytona Albino Reference 6263 at an auction by Phillips.

Confirming the trend of the famous guitarist’s watches making an increasingly frequent appearance at the auctions, three of Clapton’s Patek Philippe timepieces will be hitting the Phillips Hong Kong watch auction on November 29. The watches will be making their first appearance at an auction, and have only been owned by Clapton. All three models have been specially customized for Clapton, and are fitted with dials with dot hour markers and a Breguet style Roman numeral 12, with official certificates from the Patek Philippe boutique in Geneva.
