01: A CUT ABOVE
One of Hamilton’s latest collaborations with Air Zermatt, the Swiss mountain rescue service, the Khaki Takeoff Air Zermatt takes its design cues from cockpit instruments. Dynamic red accents enliven the 42mm steel timepiece, which is powered by the H-10 automatic movement.
02: WORLDLY WISE
With the ALT1-ZT, Bremont updates the ALT1-Z that was first launched in 2007. While its design is neater and sleeker, the new model packs a punch similar to its predecessor. A GMT hand with an adjustable 24- hour bezel, date indicator and a chronograph makes this 43mm model a useful travel companion.
03: AT THE READY
One of three additions to Montblanc’s sporty Timewalker family, the Timewalker Urban Speed Chronograph is distinguished by its dynamic design. Housed in a 43mm case of sandblasted stainless steel with a matte black ceramic bezel, the watch features a black dial with red accents, and chronograph counters embellished with fine circular grooves.
04: MIXED MEDIA
Rado may be best known for its high-tech ceramic, but the Hyperchrome Automatic shows that the brand’s signature material also plays well with others. In this 38.7mm watch, a polished steel case is complemented by a ceramic bezel, while gold-coloured applied indexes provide contrast to a black dial.
05: TAKE FLIGHT
Inspired by the realm of aviation, the Chronoswiss Timemaster Chronograph GMT S-Ray 007 brings together a selection of useful functions and a boldly sporty form. Featuring a chronograph and a GMT function, along with a date indicator, the automatic watch is housed in a 44mm case of DLC-coated steel.
06: BENEATH THE SURFACE
It might be designed for aquatic sports, but the Longines Hydroconquest offers plenty for the landlocked as well. Powered by an automatic column-wheel chronograph movement, the 41mm timepiece features a small seconds at nine o’clock, along with minute and hour chronograph counters.
07: RIGHT FORMULA
The Formula 1 GMT Calibre is one of the latest additions to Tag Heuer’s revamped Formula 1 collection, and has a zippy aesthetic marked by exceptional legibility. A blue arrow indicates the second time zone, while the watch’s fixed bezel in black and blue offers striking contrast to its 41mm steel case.
