MONTBLANC’S HOMAGE TO ROALD AMUNDSEN PEN

Born in Norway in 1872, Amundsen studied medicine, his mother’s ambition for him, until she died when he was 21. Then, he pursued a life of exploration and went on to make history as the first person indisputably recognised to reach both the North Pole and the South Pole. Amundsen’s adventures inspired Montblanc’s special-edition fountain pens. The collection’s highlight, the High Artistry “Conquest of Antarctica” Homage to Roald Amundsen Limited Edition 1, is set with Antarctica-inspired diamonds, light-blue sapphires and aquamarines. The igloo on the cap top is made of diamonds, with a 5.10-carat brilliant-cut diamond embedded within.
