Hugo Boss x Joseph Schooling capsule collection

After the 22-year-old Olympic gold medalist transitioned to pro-athlete status in March, he has had no shortage of international and local sponsors knocking on his door. Besides inking a three-year partnership with DBS Bank, swimmer Joseph Schooling has also made sartorial strides with luxury fashion brand Hugo Boss. He is not only the first Singaporean ambassador of the German fashion house, but also the first swimmer in the brand’s stable of sports sponsorships, which includes golfer Henrik Stenson and the German national football team.

Adding to his string of firsts, the Olympic gold medalist has partnered with Hugo Boss to roll out a limited edition capsule collection consisting of a polo shirt, t-shirt, shorts, bag, and towel. Blue and yellow – symbolic of water and gold – feature prominently in the collection. “I have a strong affinity with the colours of blue and yellow used in the capsule collection as they are also the colours of my alma mater,” shares Schooling, who attended Anglo Chinese School (Junior) from 2002 to 2007 and Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) for two years before his move to America.

The collection launches May 25 at the re-opening of the Boss Store in Marina Bay Sands.
