01. Matsusaka Beef Fair

1-11 Sep 2016

You may know your Kobe and Ohmi – now meet the final third of the Sandai Wagyuu (the title for the 3 most premium wagyu brands): Matsusaka. Yes, these cows, too, are fed to their hearts’ content with top-grade soybean and wheat, and get plumbed with beer should they lose their appetite. And yes, they’re massaged in between.

Officials from the region are introducing their top-grade beef  via a fortnight-long affair at Wisma Atria’s Japan Food Town, where air-flown A4 grade Matsusaka beef will be served up at 10 participating restaurants. Go straight for the pricier options – why stinge on a one-off tasting?

04. ART EXHIBITION: SALVADOR DALI & PIERRE ARGILLET – 30 OF COLLABORATION

11 Sept – 5 Oct 2016

It’s one thing to be familiar with Dali’s most iconic work, and another to see his style reflected in other mediums and sketches. The Argillet Collection is the result of a collaboration between Dali and Pierre Argillet, his publisher and confidante for over thirty years. A unique anthology of works by the Surrealist artist will be presented alongside porcelain works and tapestries previously unseen in Singapore.

All the works have been authenticated and signed by Dali, and will be available for viewing and acquisition during the period. This exhibition builds upon the first at REDSEA Gallery two years ago, when works from the collection were first shown in Singapore. More information, plus the schedule for guided tours, here.

REDSEA Gallery; Block 9 Dempsey Rd, #01-10 Dempsey Hill; Tel: 6732-6711.
