The Japanese beer brand has teamed up with restaurant E-Pachi this month for a special beer and Japanese food pairing menu. While sake is usually the more elegant choice for Japanese fine dining, Asahi prides itself on a fermentation method that leaves its beer without the usual bitter, hoppy aftertaste.
This makes it an easy accompaniment not just for delicate dishes like sashimi, but powerfully flavoured ones like the grilled mentaiko and seared beef tataki as well – all part of E-Pachi’s eight-course omakase menu.
