The Grand Hyatt Taipei is celebrating its re-launch on April 23, and will be taking on a more convivial vibe. High counters at check-in have been replaced with low-slung desks for a more intimate welcome, and a new bakery and gift shop, Baguette, takes the place of the former souvenir shop to introduce a new seating area designed to stimulate more social interaction. Each of the hotel’s 853 rooms have also been redesigned and rebuilt, with new luxurious features like deep-soaking tubs in the bathrooms and muted colours and goose down duvets in the bedrooms for a good night’s rest. Grand Hyatt Taipei will also house two new restaurants: a Chinese restaurant, Yun Jin, and a Western venue, The Steakhouse.
