Keep an eye on the circuit from these chic bars as the Grand Prix gets underway from Sep 14 to 16.

It’s all about the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix this weekend. The 11th edition of this year’s night race at the Marina Bay Street Circuit takes place from Sept 14 to 16 2018, bringing with it the requisite adrenaline, glitz, and glamour. While some might prefer to soak up the high octane action closer to the track, those seeking a night of revelry fuelled with drinks from a full-fledged bar can keep an eye on the circuit from these chic watering holes.

Fancy getting a circuit-side look as the cars whizz around Turn 9 of the racetrack? Skai offers exactly that from its perch on the 70th floor of Swissôtel, The Stamford. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer panoramic views over the F1 circuit, giving you an up-close look at all the trackside action. Pair the excitement with indulgent canapés like a mini Wagyu burger with Gruyère cheese and seared foie gras. On Sunday, you’ll also be able to feast on the Skai High Night Race Dinner ($188++ per adult; 7pm-10pm) which includes free-flow wines, cocktails and beers. The dinner incudes a fully-loaded, buffet-like array of charcuterie, salads, and small bites like burrata, mini Wagyu burgers, and seared foie gras, along with ‘dessert shelves’ stocked with strawberry shortcake tarts and chocolate parfaits, to name a few.
